ITV Loose Women's Brenda Edwards shares tribute to late son Jamal on first Mother's Day without him

Brenda Edwards has returned to social media to share beautiful family pictures alongside her later son Jamal Edwards. There was an outpouring of shock and grief last month when it was announced that the SBTV founder had died aged 31.

Entrepreneur and music pioneer Jamal was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his services to music and is widely credited for launching the careers of several leading British artists including Ed Sheeran and Dave. Brenda, who appeared on the second series of The X Factor back in 2005 and is now a regular on stage, shared a statement hours after the news broke in February.

It said: "It is with the deepest heartache that I can confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness. Myself, his sister Tanisha and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world."

The heartbreaking message continued: "As we come to terms with his passing we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support. Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for live on his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD."

On her first Mother's Day without Jamal on Sunday (March 27), Brenda shared nine pictures of her son and daughter Tanisha taking over the years, including from when he was a young kid alongside his then baby sister right up until his later years hitting the red carpet at a music event.

"Always and Forever," she captioned the post alongside a blue heart to her thousands of followers who were soon commenting and sharing their love and support
