ITV Good Morning Britain viewers ask 'why' as Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh caught in off-camera 'error'

Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh were caught in a slight off-camera error as they returned to Good Morning Britain. The presenters were back fronting the ITV news programme on Tuesday (April 11) as the half-term presenter rota continues to be switched up with Ranvir filling in for Susanna Reid.

During the second episode of the week, Richard, 66, and Ranvir, 45, were discussing the junior doctors' strike which began today (April 11). But as they were chatting to the NHS Confederation Chief Executive Matthew Taylor for a segment about the latest strikes to hit the NHS.

But as Matthew shared his thoughts and answered the hosts' questions via a video link during his virtual appearance on the programme, the camera remained on his screen with Ranvir and Richard not to be seen in the London-based studio.

But despite not being on screen, the pair's microphones still appeared to be on and could be heard 'whispering' over the top of their guest. While their exact words couldn't be made out, the moment didn't go unnoticed by viewers with some taking to Twitter to comment on the moment.

One asked on social media: "What were they just whispering about?" While, after it happened a second time, another added: "Ranvir we can hear you whispering over the mic while people are talking."

The latest awkward moment comes after Ranvir was left speechless while presenting the show, as co-host Richard shared an uncomfortable story. The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant covered her mouth as her co-star read a viewer message relating to the recent controversy surrounding audiences in theatres following an
