ITV Emmerdale Joe Tate actor Ned Porteous' life off-screen from Netflix role to real life romance
Amidst swirling storylines involving Kim Tate and her husband Will Taylor, fan theories are anticipating Joe's comeback to the ITV soap as amid claims that it might be Joe or Jamie Tate behind these schemes to bring Kim down.
Ned, who charmed his way into the audience's hearts, exited the soap in 2019 to chase new opportunities.
Reflecting on his departure, he shared: "I want to move back to London and I want to do a bit of travelling. I haven't had a holiday for a very long time, so I'm desperate first to get out to America. I've got management out there so I want to try my hand with the American casting system and then go on a little holiday. I think I will turn my phone off, go climbing, go camping, go fishing."
Despite the dramatic twist that had many believing Joe was deceased, it was later unearthed that he's alive and has been overseas. Is a high-stakes return on the cards for him?
Beyond Emmerdale, Ned Porteous expanded his acting credentials with a stint in Netflix's acclaimed series Bridgerton, portraying Lord Wetherby in its inaugural season, reports Leeds Live.
Ned, who has previously appeared in EastEnders as Michelle Fowler's son Mark in 2019, has also had guest roles in ITV's Grantchester and starred in Extraordinary. His acting credits extend to Holby City and Suspects.
Off-screen, Ned has recently sparked speculation about a potential split from his girlfriend Sophia Lo. The couple appears to have removed all photos of each other from their social media accounts, including snaps from holidays in Napa Valley and Yosemite National Park in California, as well as images taken at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and during trips to Asia and Vietnam.
