Emmerdale fans think they spotted 'real tears' during the soap's latest airing as Faith Dingle's time in the Dales begins to draw to a close. Viewers of the ITV soap have been left sobbing on multiple occasions in recent months as they watch the much-loved character suffer from terminal cancer.

Fans have been left gutted by Sally Dexter's impending exit as the Dingle matriarch after she was given the devastating news her cancer was back earlier this year. She has since endeavored to make the most of the time she has left with no treatment but in recent weeks her health has taken a downward turn.

And fans are already preparing themselves after spoilers reveal that Faith will go through with her decision to take her own life in heartbreaking scenes this week following an incredible gesture from her son, Cain, and the rest of the villagers as they bring the seaside to the Yorkshire Dales for a last perfect day.

During Tuesday night's edition of Emmerdale, viewers saw a determined Faith planning a trip to Whitby after reminiscing with her grandson, Aaron. Amid Cain's skepticism, Faith suffered a fall and ruled her much-hoped-for trip out of the question. But his mum hit back and made him promise that they'll still go to the seaside and that she'll be fine after a day's rest.

While Faith was resting on the sofa after her fall, she had a visit from Tracy Metcalfe who brought along baby Frankie to see her great-grandmother For a few moments Faith was confused and thought Tracy was her daughter, Chas but Tracy gently told her who she was and re-introduced her to little Frankie.

And things quickly became tearful as Tracy recalled to
