ITV Corrie fans predict massive twist over the death of Imran Habeeb with shock suspect

Newlywed Toyah Battersby faced police questioning tonight following a horror car crash that led to the death of her husband Imran Habeeb. In shocking scenes in Wednesday night's episode of Corrie (June 1) Imran collapsed and died on the scene from a cardiac arrest after pulling Toyah from the wreckage of their car.

After the pair were knocked unconscious Imran, played by Charlie de Melo, woke up first and was horrified to find they had ploughed into scaffolding with bits falling onto their vehicle. He pulled Toyah, played by Georgia Taylor, from the smashed vehicle and shortly after the scaffolding fell and bricks collapsed onto the car.

As paramedics arrived there was a devastating twist to a complicated tale of betrayal which has has reached a crescendo this week. Imran staggered to the ambulance to be with Toyah but collapsed onto the floor.

Despite paramedics attempting to save the solicitor, Toyah was later told in hospital that her husband had died. As she tried to process the news police paid her visit.

The crash so far hasn't been screened in a week of drama that has moved back and forth between the past and the present. Toyah was asked how much she could remember, and she looked stunned to be told the car she was driving didn't follow the curvature of the road meaning that she had gone straight into the building.

And there were no skid marks which means the car didn't slow down. "It indicates no breaks were applied," she was told. Toyah was adamant she hit the brakes leaving the question if the brakes had been tampered with, or if Toyah simply didn’t hit the
