ITV Coronation Street's Georgia Taylor shows fans what Toyah and Imran's flat is really like

There are often lots of questions about the properties on one of the country's most famous streets but now Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has given insight into the flat her character lives in.

The Toyah Battersby actress chatted to Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled ITV show on Friday (May 20) ahead of a huge week on the cobbles in a storyline involving her character. The long-running soap teased 'carnage' on the cobbles earlier this week with a 40-second trailer featuring Toyah's new husband Imran Habeeb and the mother of his son, Abi Franklin.

It comes as the pair's fight for custody of baby Alfie intensifies in the coming weeks and the residents of Weatherfield will face the consequences in an unmissable week of episodes of the ITV soap.

Appearing live from the Salford-based set, Corrie fan Lorraine, 62, said to Georgia, 42: "You're in your little house in Coronation Street, in the set of course. I'm just looking behind you..." The presenter's excitement got the better of her as the camera panned out to show more of the room. "Oo, look at this!" she exclaimed.

Asking Georgia if she could see other character's homes and other parts of the set, the Wigan-born soap star let her and ITV viewers into a set secret, getting the cameras to spin around and show exactly what she could see which happened to be camera equipment in a warehouse-style setting. "And just to the right there, that's the solicitors office," Georgia added.
