ITV Coronation Street's Antony Cotton sends sweet message to 'simply gorgeous' co-star

Antony Cotton sent fans into a frenzy as he sent his 'simply gorgeous' Coronation Street co-star a sweet message.

The ITV soap star is renowned for his role as Sean Tully on the long-running show. He has been a mainstay on the Cobbles since he first joined the show in 2003.

Bury-born Antony has a close relationship with his colleagues away from the screen - and he took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt message to fellow Corrie legend, Sally Dynevor. The Sally Metcalfe star has been a firm favourite in the cast for decades, becoming involved in many dramatic story-lines over the years.

And she was in a celebratory mood on Wednesday May 31 as she marked her 60th birthday, reports the ECHO. Antony wished her happy birthday as she reached the milestone age. Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo of the pair embracing as they beamed at the camera.

He wrote: "Happy Birthday to the quite simply gorgeous @sallydynevor. She’s the best of the best and we all love her so much. Remember Sal, don’t stand too close to the platform edge…"

Sally took to the comments and said: "Oooh thank you Antony," with five red heart emojis.

Fans swooned over the update, with many also wishing Sally a happy birthday. Jodie commented: "Aww, lovely picture of you both" while Phillip added: "Fabulous," and Karen said: "You both look gorgeous".

Cameron wrote: "Wow that is a fantastic, brilliant and amazing pic of you with Sally Dynevor there buddy" and Heather added: "Have a wonderful time Sally ..what a beautiful photo of you two lovelys".
