ITV Britain's Got Talent blunder as co-host Ant McPartlin 'gets stuck in a chair' during first semi-final

Fans were in hysterics over a blunder at the start of the first of the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals. Co-host Ant McPartlin got stuck in a chair during the opening sequence to Monday night's show with the cast of Moulin Rouge!

As several acts returned for the live show, the audience were treated to a medley from the musical cast. It ended with Ant and his co-host Declan Donnelly being lowered onto the stage harnessed onto a giant heart.

But things didn't go to plan as Ant struggled to unbuckle himself from the chair as the pair were meant to head to the front of the stage with the cast. He could be heard saying: "Ooh, I'm stuck. I'm stuck on the chair."

"That entrance took so long," laughed David. And Ant exclaimed: "I was stuck in a chair!"

@itsjadekeah said on Twitter: "Ant not being able to get off his chair in the opening was the best thing ever #BGT."

And @MrFaisalLatif said with laughing emojis: "Ant stuck to the chair." @John_Guy1 tweeted: "Haha great start for Ant." And @rob_jackson86 said: "Ant got stuck on the entrance hilarious."
