Italy: Kieran Crowley makes three changes for Six Nations clash with England in Rome
Crowley has made three changes to the starting line-up that suffered a 37-10 defeat against France in their tournament opener in Paris last weekend. In the back-line, Federico Mori comes in to the run-on side on the right wing where he replaces Tommaso Menoncello, who made a try-scoring debut against Les Bleus.
Mori will wear the Azzurri shirt from the first time since featuring against the All Blacks last November and he is joined in the back three by Edoardo Padovani (full-back) and fellow wing Monty Ioane.
Juan Ignacio Brex and Marco Zanon continue as the midfield combination with Paulo Garbisi and Stephen Varney once again the starting half-backs.
In the back-row, captain Michele Lamaro and Toa Halafihi – who made his debut last Sunday against France at the Stade de France in Paris – retain their places as the starting openside flanker and number eight respectively while Braam Steyn returns to the starting XV – after last playing against Uruguay in Parma in November – as a replacement for Sebastian Negri.

Federico Ruzza and Niccolo Cannon continue as the starting locks while, in the front-row, Pietro Ceccarelli takes over from Tiziano Pasquali as the starting tighthead prop and packs down alongside Gianmarco Lucchesi (hooker) and Danilo Fischetti (loosehead).
“The match against France gave us indications of our work done so far,” said Crowley. “During the week the focus was on certain actions: with the right attitude and greater precision we have the opportunity to continue on our growth path.”
