'It's staying up' - the Man City player who loves Christmas so much he left his tree up until May

As the famous song goes, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

It's easy to get caught up in the festivities around Christmas, but one Manchester City player took things to extremes in 2018. For Bernardo Silva, Christmas appears to be extra special.

In 2019, the City maestro hit the headlines after he revealed he still had his tree up in May - and he even said it had brought Pep Guardiola's side good luck. City had just made history by being the first men's team in English football to win a domestic treble as they lifted the Carabao Cup, Premier League and FA Cup.

Bernardo put his tree up for Christmas, but fans were surprised to see it was still up two months later.

He posted a photo of it on Instagram saying: "Happy Christmas everyone!! I mean Valentine's day. Does anyone wanna help me putting down this tree?? Otherwise it's staying up."

It seems that no one offered to help as the tree was still standing tall in his living room three months later.

He shared another picture of the tree on Instagram in May, writing: "Bad luck?? It's staying up!!!" He added four trophy emojis, hinting that the tree might be bringing some good fortune to City's trophy collection.

With City having won five trophies in the last 12 months it begs the question, did Bernardo leave it up all year this time around?!
