It's getting chilly! Greater Manchester weekend weather forecast

It's getting chilly across Greater Manchester, with temperatures set to dip further following last weekend's unseasonably warm weather. Top temperatures have plummeted across the region - from 20C last weekend to just 11C this morning (Saturday, October 14).

It will be a little colder on Sunday, too. Sunny intervals are expected to give way to heavy showers by lunchtime today. On Sunday, it will be clear, before the clouds gather by early evening, according to the Met Office.

The rain is set to turn to light showers at 3pm before becoming heavy again at 4pm and then easing off at 5pm when a sunny spell is expected. It will then become cloudy from 6pm.

A maximum temperature of 11C is forecast in Manchester, according to the Met Office. Temperatures will then drop to 7C by 10pm.

After a chilly morning, it will be a day of sunshine and scattered showers, across the North West, the Met Office says.

The showers could turn heavy at times, and perhaps wintry across the highest hills.

Sunday (October 15) is expected to be clear before changing to partly cloudy by early evening with the chance of rain remaining low at less than 5 pc.

Temperatures of just 4C are forecast from 7am before climbing steadily to 10C by 3pm, the top temperature expected. The high of 10C will remain until 5pm before beginning
