'It's complicated' - FIFA journalist says ‘genius’ is now open to joining Tottenham

FIFA journalist Abdellah Boulma has now claimed that a ‘genius’ would not be opposed to joining Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has overseen a revolution in north London since joining the Premier League club last November.

The Italian’s transformation of Tottenham, coming after the regrettable and brief Nuno Espirito Santo era, gifts them hope of a possible Champions League finish depending on developments across the capital at Arsenal.

Their demolition job of the Gunners earlier this week perhaps best sums up Conte’s terrific job at Hotspur Way and why Ligue 1 giants Paris-Saint Germain allegedly hold an interest in hiring the former Chelsea man.

However, in a blow for PSG, the Lilywhites head coach has now claimed he is ‘100 per cent‘ committed after their 3-0 derby win.

Despite Conte’s future seeming more assured than ever, journalist and FIFA reporter Boulma has claimed former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is now open to re-joining – even if it’s ‘complicated’.

He explained (via Twitter):

“Pochettino would not be against a return to Tottenham even if it’s complicated.”

Should a major twist emerge on Conte’s future at the club, it’s perhaps comforting to know an ex-fan favourite in Pochettino is waiting should chairman Daniel Levy and sporting director Fabio Paratici see their boss leave.

Lauded as a ‘genius‘ by former goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, the 50-year-old would certainly be an ideal heir, but supporters will be hoping they get one full season under Conte at least given his phenomenal job at the club.
