Care givers offer immeasurable support, comfort and quality of life to both care receivers and their families. The care industry is an incredibly fulfilling one, which welcomes people from any background with differing skillsets to receive training, and embark on an incredibly fulfilling job that enables workers to give back to their community, and enrich the lives of the people in their care.

Those interested in getting into the care sector are often faced with a lot of questions; which route will you take, what qualifications do you need and how will you get them? So, the Manchester Local Care Organisation has decided to run an insightful job fair event at the Etihad Stadium on Friday September 30 at 9am until 1pm.

The event will host between 25 and 30 care providers, including employers like care homes and home care providers looking to hire. Those interested in working in adult social care are able to register for the event on Eventbrite and speak to care providers about the types of vacancies available on the day.

Visitors will have the invaluable opportunity to talk to various organisations, who will advise them on funded training and careers in care, such as Step into Care, which offers a six-week programme, giving carers the initial skills they need to pursue a career in social care.

Attendees will be greeted by friendly event staff, who will advise them on which social care and health providers to speak to based on their circumstances and needs, helping them to get the most out of the event.
