Isthmian League round-up: Louis Collins’ hat-trick leads 10-man Ashford to victory, Margate and Sheppey score injury-time winners, while Dartford hold unbeaten Premier Division leaders
Louis Collins scored a hat-trick as 10-man Ashford thrashed VCD 5-2 for just their second Isthmian South East win this season.
Harrison Hume struck inside 60 seconds and Collins made it two as the Nuts & Bolts led 2-0 inside eight minutes.
Alfie Evans replied for the Vickers, who found themselves with an extra man after Roarie Deacon’s 38th-minute dismissal for two yellow cards.
But defender Will Moses marked his return from suspension by scoring Ashford’s third and Collins completed his treble with two goals in four minutes early in the second half as United climbed to 19th.
Courtney Barrington scored a consolation.
Faversham continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-2 home win against Beckenham.
Tashi-Jay Kwayie gave third-placed Town an early lead before a spell of three goals in as many minutes around the hour mark saw the hosts emerge with a 3-1 advantage.
They were initially pegged back when George Porter scored a penalty but Kwayie immediately restored the lead and James Dyer added a swift third for the Lilywhites.
Freddy Nyhus scored the Becks’ second with 15 minutes left.
Herne Bay retained fifth spot courtesy of a 2-1 home win against Merstham - despite finishing with 10 men.
