Isthmian League round-up: Folkestone Invicta score four first-half goals, 10-man Chatham win, Faversham Town beat leaders, Ashford win at Hassocks
Folkestone remain a point clear at the top of the Isthmian Premier after an action-packed first half on Saturday.
All the goals came in the opening half as Invicta won 4-2 at Cheshunt with four different scorers for Jay Saunders’ side who made it five league wins in a row.
Joel Odeniran’s sixth-minute goal put Folkestone ahead before Reon Smith-Kouassi equalised a minute later. Adam Lovatt’s long-range strike restored their advantage but Jesse Effa levelled for the hosts on 22 minutes.
Jake Hutchinson continued his fine run of form to make it 3-2 on 34 minutes and strike partner Joe Pigott added the fourth on the stroke of half-time.
Chatham overcame a red card for keeper Nathan Harvey in the first half to win 2-0 at Lewes.
Harvey got his marching orders for a professional foul on 25 minutes with Simon Cooper taking over in goal.
Tope Fadahunsi put the visitors ahead early in the second half before substitute Ben Allen wrapped up an impressive victory for the 10 men in the final minute.
A depleted Dartford side were pegged back at improving Cray Valley as the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw.
