Israel Adesanya's lacklustre UFC 276 victory over Jared Cannonier draws criticism from Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt has criticised Israel Adesanya‘s rather flat performance in his fifth consecutive title defence against Jared Cannonier early on Sunday morning.

The Last Stylebender, 32, maintained his place at the top of the middleweight division courtesy of a unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 276 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Adesanya was left with hardly a scratch on his face as he barely had to get out of third gear to keep his hands on the belt.

But Pratt, like many others, was left unimpressed by Adesanya’s lacklustre victory and shared his thoughts on the win on the UFC 276 post-fight show on ESPN.

The Hollywood actor, who has previously described himself as a ‘massive’ fan of mixed martial arts, has trained with the Nogueira brothers in the past, so he probably knows a bit more about the sport than the average casual fan.

Appearing as a guest alongside former MMA fighter Din Thomas and current light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith, Pratt said: “Look, I’m going to say this as humbly as I can as a guy who has never stepped into the Octagon.

“I don’t know this game, I’m just an actor, man.

“But, I’m not a fan of coming out with all that talk and then putting on a little bit of pitter patter.
