Izzy Adesanya has had six professional boxing bouts, following on from his successful kickboxing career and just before he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championships.
Adesanya was active in boxing from 2014 to 2015, gaining five wins and one loss in the sweet science before transitioning to MMA.
The Last Stylebender’s first pro boxing fight saw him lose to Daniel Ammann via unanimous decision. The fight was a Super 8 Boxing Tournament II: Cruiserweight quarterfinal matchup and took place in Auckland, New Zealand in November 2014.
Adesanya’s second fight was a Super 8 Boxing Tournament III: Cruiserweight quarterfinal matchup which saw him take a 2nd round KO win over Asher Derbyshire in March 2015.
