Ismaila Soro in Celtic transfer exit talks with Fortuna Sittard but one 'sticking point' remains

Celtic are in talks with Dutch side Fortuna Sittard over a potential move for Ismaila Soro, according to a report.

The Ivorian midfielder is one of several names Ange Postecoglou is looking to move on in the coming hours.

He could be next out the door in a deal that will be an initial loan move - but will crucially include an option to buy if it goes through.

Football Scotland claim there is a stumbling block over the future fee while other clubs from across Europe and as well as America's MLS are monitoring the situation.

Fortuna would cover around half of the defensive midfielder's wages.

Soro has made 18 appearances so far this campaign, most of which have come from the bench, though he still has two-and-a-half years still left to run on his Parkhead deal, signed in 2020 after moving from Bnei Yehuda in Israel for £2m.

Earlier, Celtic saw their first exit of deadline day with Osaze Urhoghide moving to KV Oostende on a loan without an option to buy.
