IRFU confirm details for Women's Interprovincial championship

The IRFU have confirmed fixture details for the 2023 Vodafone Women's Interprovincial Championship, which will get under way next month in preparation for Ireland's WXV competition later this year.

Munster picked up their second Interpro title in a row when they won the delayed 2022 championship back in January of this year.

However, the IRFU have moved the 2023 series back to August to assist Ireland's preparations ahead of the inaugural WXV3 campaign in Dubai in October.

The 2023 series will be played over four rounds of games, with each side playing three matches each in the round-robin, before the final which will take place on Saturday 2 September.

Round 1 will see Ulster host defending champions Munster at the Palace Grounds in Armagh on Saturday 12 August, before Connacht and Leinster meet at the Sportsground.

The following week, Energia Park will host Leinster's meeting with Ulster while Munster welcome Connacht to Musgrave Park.

Connacht and Leinster will have home advantage in Round 3 on Saturday 26 August, hosting Ulster and Munster respectively, before the top two in the table contest the final a week later.

Round 1 - Saturday, 12 August:

Ulster v Munster, City of Armagh RFC, 3pm

Connacht v Leinster, The Sportsground, 5.15pm

Round 2 - Saturday, 19 August:

Leinster v Ulster, Energia Park, 1pm

Munster v Connacht, Musgrave Park, 3.15pm

Round 3 - Saturday, 26 August:

Connacht v Ulster, The Sportsground, 2.30pm

Leinster v Munster, Energia Park, 4.45pm
