Ireland's Mack Hansen and Finlay Bealham on course for Scotland, Tadhg Furlong and Joe McCarthy ruled out

Tadhg Furlong and Joe McCarthy have been ruled out of Ireland's Guinness Six Nations game against Scotland but Finlay Bealham and Mack Hansen are on course to be fit.

Prop Furlong (calf) and lock McCarthy (concussion) missed Saturday's victory over England, while Bealham and Hansen both picked up leg injuries during the match.

"They trained just now and it looks positive for both," scrum coach John Fogarty told reporters ahead of Sunday's game at Murrayfield (3pm, live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player).

"They took part in the full session.

"They should be [ready], they looked good today, they both trained.

"They'll be looked at again and there'll be a medical tomorrow as well.

"The game will come too soon for [Tadhg and Joe]."

Interim boss Simon Easterby called up Connacht prop Jack Aungier to the squad prior to the opening round and Munster back-five forward Tom Ahern and wing Shayne Bolton of Connacht joined at the start of the week.
