Last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists, Inter Milan, are considering a summer move for Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho, according to fcinternews.it.

According to the website, the club want to take Iheanacho on a free transfer from Leicester when his current deal with English club ends in the summer.

Iheanacho, who scored one of Nigeria’s two goals in the Super Eagles’ 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia last Friday, left the team’s camp immediately after the game to ‘attend to pressing personal issues.’

Sources said the former Imo State U-13 team captain’s exit could not be unrelated with the potential move to Italy.

According fcinternews.it, the former European champions are currently considering the medium and long-term future of their attack, which comprises Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic.

Sanchez and Arnautovic, who joined the club during the summer, are currently 34 years old age and are not expected to remain in the club for long given that they signed
short term deals.

27-year-old Iheanacho, who joined Leicester in the summer of 2017 from Man City, has made a total of 219 appearances for the club to date. He stayed at Leicester over the summer despite the fact that the Foxes were relegated to the English Championship.
