Insider drops worrying claim as Wolves could face 'impossible' situation

Journalist Dean Jones has highlighted that some Wolves players may follow what previous players have done and leave Molineux to further their careers.

Wolves have had an up and down season so far. They currently sit in eighth place in the Premier League, just four points behind sixth-placed Manchester United. With eight games to go, Wolves still have a fighting chance at gaining European football for next season.

Bruno Lage’s side have been particularly good on defensive duties this campaign, conceding just 26 goals. Only the top three sides have conceded less often.

In the past, players such as Diogo Jota have left Wolves and gone on to achieve great things with better clubs, and Jones highlighted this to GiveMeSport whilst noting that some of the current players could follow suit.

He said: “You look at Diogo Jota, he left for Liverpool and is now challenging to win the Premier League, challenging to win the Champions League, in the latter stages of the FA Cup; he could win it all. Equally, they might be looking at Adama Traore, who has just played his part in a famous El Clasico win for Barcelona. So, it’s impossible to stop these players from pondering what the future holds for them.”
