The Umbrella Academy has welcomed Jean and Gene Thibedeau into the mix, sparking interest in the actors' off-screen relationship.

As Netflix's The Umbrella Academy heads into its fourth season, it marks the final chapter for the beloved show. This last season sees the siblings encountering the heads of the Keepers, bent on re-establishing the one true timeline.

What some viewers may not realise, however, is that the stars behind the Keepers' founders are well and truly loved-up in real life.

Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, comedic talents well-known for their roles in Parks and Recreation and Will And Grace respectively, portray Gene and Jean, setting tongues wagging amongst the series' fanbase.

Gene and Jean of The Umbrella Academy season four are played by the real-life couple, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally.

Famous for his portrayal of Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation and her iconic role as Karen Walker in Will And Grace, Nick and Megan's paths first met during their early work together.

They originally crossed paths in 2000 on stage for The Berlin Circle at the Evidence Room Theatre in Los Angeles.

In a 2013 Buzzfeed interview, Megan recalled: "We had a lot of scenes together, and I started thinking: 'Wait a minute, he's funny.' And then I started thinking: 'Wait a minute, is he cute? ' What's happening?".

She also confided in New York Magazine back in 2010, revealing that their romance ignited following the previews of 'The Berlin Circle' and they've been inseparable ever since. The duo took their relationship to the next level with an engagement in London in 2002.
