Inside the real-life Barbie house loved by celebrities which you can rent out

A striking pink house that looks like it belongs in the Barbie movie is available to rent - and it has been used by a host of famous faces. Eaton House Studio in Essex was designed and built more than 10 years ago, long before the hype around the new Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie.

The real-life Barbie dream house can be rented out for a special occasion such as a hen-do, birthday party or girly getaway, but it has also been used for photoshoots, modelling campaigns, films, TV and music videos. Celebrities who have previously used the space include Little Mix, Paris Hilton and Iggy Azalea, as well as studios for BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and fashion sites Vogue, PrettyLittleThing and Boohoo.

The stand-out property has dozens of rooms each designed in their own unique way with flower walls, neon signs and 'Barbicore' decor. Amy Griffith, who bought and started developing the property in 2009, calls it a “sanctuary of self-expression and says it leaves guests 'awestruck'.

Amy Griffith, who is originally from California, USA, told EssexLive: “Most people that visit the house absolutely love it and are awestruck of the magic inside. Guests get transported to another world where the everyday stresses of life seem to slip away. Who doesn't want more of that?”.

Originally designed as a residence and a permanent set for photography and films, she said it now serves as a piece of art in itself.

Amy added: “Ultimately, I chose to create Eaton House Studio to create art that sparks curiosity, provokes thought, and invites people to see the world through a different rose coloured lens.
