Inside the dazzling new £3 million San Carlo restaurant in Alderley Edge at landmark site

The lavish new location for famed Italian restaurant San Carlo has been unveiled in Alderley Edge. Bosses have spent £3m on a spectacular transformation of the London Road site, since taking over Gino D'Acampo's short-lived Luciano restaurant earlier this year.

The new San Carlo has given the site its biggest ever transformation - including a raft of new palm trees planted outside. It boasts jaw-dropping interiors and a stunning new garden terrace dining room with a retractable roof at the front of the site.

The new interiors have been inspired by Grand Milanese villas and gardens, creating a space that has a "captivating ambiance and a timeless sophistication".

The 164-cover restaurant includes a spacious new dining area, thanks to the relocation of the former kitchen, and a Venetian-inspired patterned terrazzo floor throughout. The terrace at the front of the building features a white interior pergola strung with Italian crystal
