Inside Homes under the Hammer star Tommy Walsh's feud with Alan Titchmarsh

Tommy Walsh, the lovable builder and TV presenter known for his stint on Homes Under The Hammer, will forever be remembered for his role in Ground Force, the iconic garden makeover show. Alongside Alan Titchmarsh and Charlie Dimmock, Tommy became a household name, turning drab gardens into stunning retreats, all while being nominated by caring friends and family. Despite the trio's seamless teamwork onscreen, behind the scenes wasn't always as rosy.

One memorable off-camera moment saw Tommy and Alan Titchmarsh lock horns over an unfortunate gardening clash over a flowerbed. Now, years after Ground Force first aired, we're spilling the tea on Tommy's fiery fallout with Alan and his brave battle with cancer. Flashback to 2000, in Pitsea, Essex, where the infamous 'dandruff' flowerbed incident took place.

Alan Titchmarsh, usually the epitome of calm, was riled up by Tommy after a mishap involving sawdust scattered across the soil.

Tommy, ever the perfectionist, shared his side of the story with Radio Times, saying: "Call me picky if you like but I like my Ground Force gardens to be pristine when we finish them. I do not get a thrill from seeing them covered in dandruff." Despite butting heads initially, Tommy admits he and his colleague got over their spat. Sharing insights on the choppy period, Tommy disclosed there were "hariy" moments but that they "kissed and made up".
