Geraint Thomas will miss the Tirreno-Adriatico due to a recurring illness he suffered before the Tour Down Under. Ineos Grenadiers racing director Rod Ellingworth explained that the original intention was for Thomas to race at Tirreno-Adriatico, but was subsequently missing from the team roster before the stage race begins on Monday.
