IndyCar: Romain Grosjean left fuming after Josef Newgarden shunt
Former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean found himself gesticulating wildly towards Josef Newgarden on Sunday, as the Frenchman ended up in the wall following a tangle in Nashville.
Grosjean has been in IndyCar since the start of 2021, switching to the sport from F1 after his career there came to an end in 2020 and in unforgettable circumstances in a horrible crash in Bahrain.
He was quick to get back into the race seat when he was fit and ready, though, and scored some good results in his first year in IndyCar last season, though he has also had a fair few scrapes during his time in the Stateside series.
Indeed, his latest, he will feel, was through no fault of his own with him and Newgarden banging wheels and Grosjean coming off worse, though Josef defended himself and said you need to be aggressive to get results in the sport – this was his take below:

Grosjean, meanwhile, clearly wasn’t happy about the incident with him waving at Newgarden once the field had come back around after the initial contact:

Romain also took to Twitter, again demonstrating his anger:
