Indonesia Open 2022 Tickets Sold Out; Committee to Sell Tickets on Spot

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia Open and Indonesia Masters 2022 tickets are sold out. The BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament is slated to take place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on June 14-19, 2022.

The tickets were sold online via the Indonesian Badminton Association’s (PBSI) official page pbsi.id, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, and were sold out within a short time. Tempo observed at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, on the website that the tickets in all categories were sold out.

The ticket prices ranged from Rp90,000 to Rp1,250,000. PBSI's Head of Public Relations and Media Broto Happy could not yet confirm the amount of the sold-out tickets. However, he guaranteed that the organizing committee would sell tickets on the spot.

“I am still waiting for a report from the ticketing sector. But, only about 10 percent [of the total tickets] will be sold at the Indonesia Open ticket box,” Broto told Tempo.

Prior to Indonesia Open 2022, the Indonesia Masters will be held at Istora Senayan. Tickets for the BWF Super 500 tournament have also been sold out. “For the Indonesia Masters, only 10 percent of the tickets will be on sale in the ticket box,” Broto added.

The two upcoming prestigious badminton tournaments will be held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta. The stadium has a capacity of around 7,200 spectators. The tournament’s prize pool reportedly reaches US$ 1.2 million or around Rp17.6 billion.
