'Incredible' - Luis Diaz transfer prompts strong reaction from new Liverpool team-mate

Kostas Tsimikas believes Anfield has already seen why "incredible" Luis Diaz will be a success at Liverpool.

Diaz was confirmed as Jurgen Klopp's latest signing last weekend and could potentially become the fourth most expensive player in the Reds' history after they agreed a deal with Porto that may ultimately rise to £49million.

The 25-year-old winger featured in both games against Liverpool during the Champions League group stages earlier this season.

And after playing against Diaz in the Reds' 2-0 home win against Porto in November, Tsimikas is convinced the Colombia international will have a major impact at his new club.

"Everybody is looking forward to seeing him with the Reds," said the left-back. "Obviously when we played against Porto, I think he was their best player.

"I'm looking forward to meeting him, speaking with him and to be here (for) whatever he wants. I'm pretty sure he will help us a lot.

"Obviously I didn't mark him but I really like his skills. He really goes for one against one, he didn't think too much. I like him a lot as a player.

"I like it when a player doesn't think too much and goes direct to score himself and to try to do something for his team. Hopefully I will see it here also. He's an incredible player."
