Incident causes long tailbacks on M4

An incident caused long tailbacks on part of the M4 this morning. The M4 westbound was partially blocked with congestion due to a traffic problem from junction 27 B4591 Glasllwch Crescent (Highcross) to junction 28 A48 (Tredegar Park).

The incident resulted in congestion to junction 25 for Caerleon, according to Inrix. Google traffic maps showed tailbacks of nearly 20 minutes on the M4 near Newport, heading towards Cardiff. The incident cleared just before 10.30am on Wednesday.
