As per journalist Mark Hendry, the Hoops are still pursuing a deal for the 21-year-old, despite having been rebuffed with an initial offer for the Argentine.

Asked about any developments regarding the Bhoys’ interest in the young left-back, the transfer insider revealed that the Scottish champions are still pushing to get an agreement over the line: “Things are now with the hierarchy to get a deal done. Celtic had an offer rejected but both clubs still willing to work on it.”

This follows a report from Football.Scotland that a deal is ‘close’ for the 5 foot 7 gem, with the emerging prospect having been ‘lined up’ as a suitable competitor to Greg Taylor.
