In Gee Chun well clear at Women's PGA, Meadow makes hay
In Gee Chun stayed well clear of the chasing pack at the Women's PGA Championship with a second-round 69 at Congressional Country Club.
On Thursday, Chun had equalled the lowest opening round in tournament history and set the new course record with a brilliant 64.
On day 2, she sunk five birdies and dropped just two shots to move to -11, six clear of her nearest challengers Lydia Ko and Jennifer Kupcho. Five players are a shot further back.
Stephanie Meadow moved into a share of 14th with a 69, which featured four birdies and just a single bogey.
Meadow finished the day on -3, eight shots behind leader Chun.

Leona Maguire guaranteed her place in the weekend with a birdie on 17 that secured a level-par 72.
The Cavan native had been just inside the cut mark of +3 but that took her to a more comfortable +2 overall and she will hope to improve on her indifferent start on Saturday.
