In Gee Chun wins Women's PGA Championship, Stephanie Meadow tied for 10th
South Korea's In Gee Chun held on to win the KPMG Women's PGA Championship by a single shot, while Stephanie Meadow finished in a tie for 10th.
Chun had held a three-stroke overnight lead at Congressional Country Club, having seen her previous advantage halved, coming into Sunday's finale.
But her three-over 75, coupled with a 73 and 70 respectively for joint runners-up Lexi Thompson and Min-Jee Lee, saw Chun win the tournament by the narrowest of margins on five under.
Antrim's Meadow carded a final round 74 to finish on level par overall, five shots off the winning mark.
She birdied holes nine and 12 but four bogeys saw her narrowly miss out on breaking into the top five.
Leona Maguire, meanwhile, endured a difficult tournament and ended up on nine over after a 74.
The Cavan native, who won on the LPGA Tour in February, did not manage a birdie in the final round with bogeys on six and 13.
