Fabio Paratici is working hard to improve Tottenham’s squad in the summer transfer window and has already secured three deals for Antonio Conte.

Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma and Ivan Perisic have all come through the door, and Spurs may not be done yet with more than two months of the window still left to go.

One player that the club may look to snap up in the coming months is Ivory Coast international Seko Fofana, after showing an interest in him this year. It has previously been reported that Paratici sent scouts to watch him in action for Lens in Ligue 1 last term as they assessed his ability ahead of the summer. 

French media outlet Foot Mercato have claimed that Lens are set to demand a fee in the region of €40m (£34m) for the midfield machine.

Spurs must now act on their interest to snap up a deal for the midfielder, as he could form a dream partnership with Bissouma in the middle of the park.

In the Premier League last season, no Tottenham central midfielder managed more than two goals or more than four assists.

This suggests that they lack a goalscoring threat from that position, and that is exactly what Fofana can provide with his ability to find the the net.

The 27-year-old scored eight goals in Ligue 1 last term as he showcased his ability to burst forward from midfield to make things happen for his team. He has also displayed his creativity whilst playing in Italy, setting up seven goals in the 2019/20 Serie A campaign with Udinese.
