Ikeja Golf Club ready to rumble as April Monthly Mug begins

Members of Ikeja Golf Club and their families are set for their biggest funfilled activity since the 2023 general elections. The event is the April Month Mug, which, the leadership of the club believes, will take away all the strains of the past few months. It begins today.

Announcing plans to enliven the atmosphere at the course with fascinating activities for club members and sponsors, on Wednesday, Club Captain, Shina Akinyemi, said the two-day competition is aimed at refreshing the atmosphere and make it more engaging and interesting for members and sponsors.   “Our members and sponsors are in for an engaging and entertaining phase, as we will be rolling out a series of initiatives that will make every moment at the golf course and vicinity more thrilling and memorable.   “Over the next 12 months, our members will be treated to something new and refreshing. The idea is to make members look forward to every month on our golf course with enthusiasm and to also make the atmosphere a veritable platform for our sponsors to connect with their target audiences,” Akinyemi said.   Echoing his captain, the club’s Competitions Secretary, Jenkins Alumona, explained that the April Monthly Mug would add more spice, fun and some incentive to make the games more interesting.

“Starting with this edition, sponsored by Friends of April, members will win prizes such as family lunch and hotel stay at a five-star facility like Marriott Hotel. We will also be using this platform for community outreach through donations to charity and impactful community projects,” he said.
