The date for the International Handball Federation (IHF) Trophy Continental Phase championship slated for Brazzaville, Congo between December 12 and 18 has now been shifted.

In a letter sent to presidents of the participating countries and signed by the Secretary General of the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB), Charles Omboumahou, the new date is now from January 16 to 20.

Ocheho has charged the teams and their officials not to relent in their effort to win the IHF Trophy Continental Phase championship in Congo, adding that the board of the federation would continue to support the teams, as they intensify training for the continental championship.

“I am so happy that you all went to Cote d’Ivoire unassuming and came back heroes. Your exploits in the championship were one that people will not forget and I want to congratulate you for making Nigeria proud.

“I, on behalf of the board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria congratulate you and we want to charge you not to relent on your effort as there are still more mountains to climb and more feats to achieve.
