Ighalo nets hat-trick in Saudi Pro League

Odion Ighalo scored a hat-trick to help his club, Al Wehda, beat Damak 4-2 in a Saudi Professional League game that was played at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium on Thursday night.

Ighalo opened the scoring in the 17th minute and after Damak equalised in the 36th minute, the Nigerian striker got his brace in the first minute of added time to make it 2-1.

He went on to land his third goal of the encounter in the 52nd minute before the Super Eagles attacker was substituted for Ali Abdulqader Makki right on the dot of 90 minutes.

Ighalo scored on his competitive debut for Al Wehda which travelled away to thrash Al Tai 3-0 in a Saudi Arabian Professional League match which was played on August 24, 2023.

He replaced Hussain Al-Eisa in the 86th minute and opened his goal account for Al Wehda in the second minute of added time.

Ighalo has so far scored four goals in as many Saudi top-flight games for Al Wehda this season.
