‘If Mary McAleese is disgusted by lack of progress … take heed’: GAA clubs on grassroots integration
It has been a week like no other for the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association as the ambition of integration became a political sliotar to be pucked around the corridors of Government buildings.
But a world away from all the accusations and filibustering, hundreds of pitches in hundreds of clubs right across the country continued to hum to the tune of excited kids playing Gaelic games as shrieking whistles went unheeded.
