If I faced toiling Rangers as a Hearts player my thoughts would be ‘I’m getting their manager the sack’ – Ryan Stevenson

If I was still playing and Hearts were going into a game against a Rangers side that’s toiling so badly I'd be thinking ‘I’m getting their manager the sack’.

Okay, it might look like Philippe Clement is untouchable at Ibrox given he’s survived losing to Queen’s Park last week. But I tell you what, Hearts must smell blood ahead Sunday’s clash at Tynecastle. Surely there’s no better time to go and end the horrendous five year run that’s seen the Jam Tarts go 17 games without beating Rangers. Do it and it would surely spell the end for Clement. That might be none of Hearts' business but piling the pressure on the Belgian is.

Rangers are vulnerable. They look like they have weaknesses all over the park. It’s strange because if this was a Thursday European night I’d be saying the total opposite. But their league performances and that disaster against the Spiders in the cup show a team that is struggling badly and if I was in the home dressing room on Sunday I’d be gunning to get after them.

Domestically, Rangers look frail at the back, frail in midfield and they don't really have much up front. However, I said the same last year, that this was the perfect time to play them, and Hearts went and got spanked 5-0 at Ibrox!

But the Jambos a different animal this year. They showed it again in Monday’s Scottish Cup win over St Mirren. Even the fact that wasn't the best performance, they still won in a really difficult venue. No matter how it is, whether it's penalties, whatever it is.

I love the fact the manager
