STOCKHOLM : Sweden swept to a 5-2 win over Czech Republic in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championship on Thursday as Canada sensationally crashed out to co-hosts Denmark, losing 2-1 to send the Danes through to the last four in one of the biggest shocks in tournament history.
Denmark were a goal down with less than three minutes to play when Nikolaj Ehlers equalised for them and then Nick Olesen snatched the winner with 49 seconds remaining on the clock to stun the tournament favourites.
