Ian Wright makes 'jealous' Tottenham claim as Antonio Conte continues transfer window success

The summer transfer window is always full of twists and turns and this one has not been any different so far. Both north London clubs were battling for a fourth place finish last season, but it was Antonio Conte who led his side to a Champions League spot.

Now Tottenham and Arsenal have a crucial summer window to try and strengthen, as they both aim to battle with those above them in the table, during the upcoming season. The window hasn't even been open a month and both sides have already done some good business, as they begin their pre-season training.

The Gunners have had the more balanced window, with four incomings and four outgoings, but it is all about the quality rather than the quantity. Spurs have also made four signings, but have seen just one player move on, with Cameron Carter-Vickers' permanent move to Celtic, after his successful loan spell.

Arsenal saw a fair few outoings during the January window, with just one incoming. The Lilywhites had a highly successful winter window, seeing Dele Alli as the only permanent departure, with Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil going out on loan, as well as welcoming Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur to the club.

The new arrivals made an immediate impact on the Tottenham team, settling into the Premier League quickly and they posed a real threat to opposing sides in the second half of the season. The Gunners are already thought to have spent around £114million on their four signings so far this summer, welcoming Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Gabriel Jesus.
