"I would have laughed at you!" - Jonathan Hogg overjoyed with Huddersfield Town's change in fortunes

Huddersfield Town’s training camp in Portugal to prepare for Sunday’s Championship play-off final has been going well and a constant stream of YouTube videos from the club shows no one is taking anything for granted. The lads have been putting in a huge shift all season, and their time away has been spent on the training pitch making sure that standard doesn’t drop.

With such a huge game ahead and Nottingham Forest to play for a place in the Premier League, Town have followed their schedule from 2017 by having a few days away in Portugal to prepare. That didn’t go too badly last time as you might remember and the Terriers have similarly been cast as underdogs for this tie – a position they love to be in.

One man who has been there for both campaigns is captain Jonathan Hogg. The General played a huge role in both seasons in the Premier League as well as getting there in the first place. He is well aware of the role hard work plays in a successful season.

“We know how hard we’ve worked all season so we’re not going to come here and have a holiday and jolly up,” he said talking to the club’s YouTube channel, “it’s nice to get your flip-flops on but when we’re here at the training pitch it’s time to get to work and work properly, we’ve got a massive and important game for every individual here and at the club and everyone involved - it’s not time to take your boots off yet, it’s time to get serious, we’ve got a cup final to prepare for!”
