Huddersfield Town's Jonathan Hogg praises Lewis O'Brien amid ongoing Leeds United transfer talk

Following a superb campaign as both a collective and an individual too, lots has been made of the progress Huddersfield Town midfielder Lewis O'Brien has made over the last 12 months.

Featuring a staggering 50 times in total for the Terriers across the 21/22 campaign, O'Brien's metronome like presence was vindictive of Town's superb season following a less than par relegation scrap back in 20/21.

Falling at the last hurdle however at Wembley just last weekend, West Brom and Leeds are now both said to be interested in the Terriers man, with wavering praise coming from not just keen on-watchers outside of the club, but from his team-mates too along the way.

“His attitude is fantastic and his work ethic,” Hogg said of O’Brien via the Yorkshire Evening Post most recently. “Everything about him; he’s a top kid with a bright future ahead of him. We know he is going to play in the Premier League. Whether it is with Huddersfield Town or not, he will get there. His attitude will drive him there.

Manager Carlos Corberan will of course be keen to keep hold of one his most prized assets heading into the summer months, with Hogg also sharing how O'Brien is keen to keep the now 33-year-old firmly on his toes.

“We do the kilometre runs in pre-season and it is always me and Lewis in the top group. He still says he cannot beat me, but I think he can now! He is still a young lad and I am getting on. We will soon see next year.”
