James McClean says he “will decide when I retire” and that he is “ready to play when called upon” for Derry City.
The 37-year-old Ireland international has not played for his hometown club since July 3rd and has been receiving ongoing treatment for a hip injury. He is currently “fit and well” according to a statement released by the Professional Footballers Association of Ireland (PFAI), who are representing McClean in his dispute with Derry City.
