'I went to the Greater Manchester drive-thru where you can get curry at 9am'

You would argue that putting a smaller more mobile curry place next to your big shiny sprawling restaurant would lose you customers to convenience. However, the people at 'Curry in a Hurry' in Little Hulton are just happy to see someone eat their food.

"Some people can’t come into the restaurant because of timing, but they still want something from us. That’s the point, we want customers to still enjoy our food, even in smaller portions," general manager Reshan Nagorkoti says.

“We’re not scared of losing any customers coming into the restaurant. At least they’re enjoying our food."

The 25-year-old is the general manager of Spice and Sprits - the large curry house found on the busy Manchester Road West. Next to the huge glossy building sits a wooden hut that is usually surrounded by tradesmen's white vans.

Despite a pretty large menu that includes the likes of burgers, sandwiches, wraps and milkshakes - the spot is really known for its quick and delicious curries that are made for you within five minutes.

It is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, with the price ranging from £6 to £8 depending on the curry on offer.

On Mondays there is the option of having handi vegetables, dal tadka or chicken tariwala. Tuesdays you can get Bombay aloo, chana masala or lamb keema curry with a wide range of other types of curry on offer as the week continues.

"Most of the customers are workers", Reshan told the MEN . "They normally come for food during their breaks and that was our target. Nobody else offers food like ours on this road in the morning."
