'I went to Lapland before Christmas and one thing shocked me – it wasn't Santa'
When it comes to feeling like life is magical, there really is nothing like the feeling of Christmas.
The festive season brings joy due to the stardust it sprinkles on all of our lives, but sometimes people seek out that extra bit of sparkle. That's why many families head to Lapland on the run-up to the big day.
One woman recently visited the winter hotspot in Finland, but was left totally gobsmacked when she arrived. She was hoping to be greeted by a scene plucked straight out of a Christmas movie, but she was handed something totally different.
Lucy Josephs, known as _footluce on TikTok, shared a video to show what the destination looked like at the end of November, and it left her totally stunned. She told people she'd returned to work her third season at the festive resort, but one thing had changed a lot.
In a candid clip, she said: "I need to show you what the outside looks like because it's looking a little different this year. There's no snow. There's no snow in Lapland, and this has never happened before.
"It's actually insane to see where I've always seen like covered six-foot deep in snow, ok not six foot, but however much, just green. I'm seeing so much that I've never seen before. Yeah, back for season three baby."
The video quickly garnered a lot of attention having attracted more than 30,000 views. People were quick to comment and share their thoughts too.
One wrote: "If I went to Lapland and there was no snow, I'd literally cry." Another said: "I'm travelling to Lapland in December, and I'll be devastated for my kids if there's no snow."
A third replied: "Snow in November is never guaranteed." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Wait, that's not good."
However, if anyone has booked a trip to Lapland
