'I wasn’t happy with myself' - Nathan Ake gives brutal verdict on own display in Man City defeat

Nathan Ake admitted Saturday's defeat to Wolves was one of his toughest games in a Manchester City shirt and that he wasn't at all 'happy' with his performance.

City's 100 per cent start to the new Premier League season came was ended on Saturday as they fell to a 2-1 defeat by Wolves, their second loss in a week after crashing out of the Carabao Cup to Newcastle on Wednesday. Julian Alvarez equalised with a sublime free-kick but Wolves weren't deterred and they continued to expose City by getting in behind, with Ake having a particularly tough time against Neto and Nelson Semedo.

It was the latter who set up the winning goal, with his ball into the box causing chaos before Matheus Cunha teed up Hwang Hee-chan to stick home the winner. Ake was honest about his own poor performance after the match.
