'I was taken on a rooftop bar date – but was stunned by what the guy did'

A single woman was looking forward to a promising date after her suitor told her he had planned an evening at a rooftop bar.

However, she was left gobsmacked by the turn of events.

The woman narrated her unfortunate experience on TikTok under the username @kss_xo_, and it has since been shared on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video post, the brunette lady recounts the incident. She is seen raising her hand in the clip as she begins: "Put a finger down if you went on a date tonight and he picked you up and couldn't wait to see you. And when you're driving, you're just making small talk.

"Then you get to the place and you go upstairs to this rooftop bar that he surprised you with and he says, 'Hey, why don't you go and grab that table for us and I'll get our drinks'.

"So you do and you're waiting for like 10 minutes and then he comes outside and you go, 'Hey, where's your drink? ', and he goes, 'Oh I'm actually leaving, I'm just not feeling it, but enjoy your drink and the view'."

After her story went viral on TikTok, the woman posted another video providing more details about the situation, revealing that she and the man had been exchanging messages for a few days after connecting on a dating app.

She added: "I was out of the country, so he had to wait until I was back in the country to see me. We had planned a date for Tuesday."

The woman recounted the moment when the man picked her up, noting that he inquired about her favourite parts of town and music tastes, describing the initial "vibe was normal". She then detailed her reaction after he returned with only one cocktail and announced his departure: 'What? ', she said, expressing her shock. "I thought he was kidding," she confessed.

His response was dismissive, with
