'I wanted an Oodie, but couldn't justify the price': The £13 hooded blanket more than 9,800 shoppers use to keep central heating off

October is just a few days away which means the weather is rapidly beginning to cool. If you are already feeling the chill or know that you will very soon, you may be thinking about ways to keep warm without forking out a chunk on central heating.

Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis, recommends heating the person and not the home and suggests using things blankets and heat pads to keep warm. Wearable blankets are the perfect option - but at £65 for an Oodie, they're not exactly the cheapest on the market.

Luckily, we've stumbled across a version available on Amazon that is 'just as good' as an Oodie but at a fraction of the cost. Those who picked up the Sienna Hooded Blanket say it is 'so comfortable and warm' as well as being 'extremely good for money'.

Amazon's Sienna Hooded Blanket is available in 11 colours and costs just £13.49. Available in a 'one size fits most', the wearable blanket is lined with a snuggly soft Sherpa lining paired elastic cuffs and an easily accessible two-sided giant pocket for all your essentials. The best thing about it? It's also fully reversible.

The Sienna Hooded Blanket is hugely popular with shoppers, racking up an impressive overall star-rating of 4.5 out of five from over 13,180 reviews on Amazon. One shopper said: "Bought one of these for myself and loved how cosy and comfy they were. The kids tried it on and ended up having to buy all them one too. Really warm and snug. You can definitely hold out putting the heating on for a bit longer with one of these on."
